A creamy, cheesy, and hearty mac & cheese topped with savory beef crumbles—pure comfort food perfection!
Ingredients:
For the Mac & Cheese:
2 cups elbow macaroni
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
For the Beef Topping:
300g ground beef
1 small onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
For Garnish:
2 tbsp chopped chives
Instructions:
Cook the pasta : Boil macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the cheese sauce : In a pan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Melt the cheese : Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until smooth and creamy.
Mix it together : Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce.
Cook the beef topping : In a pan, sauté onions and garlic, add ground beef, and cook until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Assemble & bake : Pour the mac & cheese into a baking dish, top with beef crumbles, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes until golden brown.
Garnish & serve : Sprinkle with chopped chives and enjoy!
